F.A.Q.
- How long does the application take?
- It takes approximately 2 hours.
- Can I get them wet in the shower?
- You can not get your lashes wet for the first 48 hours. After that time period your lashes are
water resistant, but putting them under the direct water pressure from the shower head.
- How do I care for my lashes?
- Look after your lashes just how you would care for your skin and hair with gentle loving
care. Do not get your lashes wet 48 hours after your lash application. Avoid any oil-based
products on your lashes. We recommend regular lash appointments to replace your natural
lashes that have completed their life cycle approximately every 2-3 weeks is ideal.
- How long will they last?
- Lashes, if cared for properly, should last as long as your natural lash life cycle, which is
approximately 4 weeks.
- What is a natural lash life cylcle?
- Everyone is different approximately 4 weeks is the normal time for your lashes to fall out
and grow new ones.
- How do I clean my eyes and my eye makeup off?
- I recommend using makeup wipes and cotton buds so you don’t touch the extensions. If you
use an eye makeup remover, use an oil-free one so it doesn’t unstick the lashes.
- Can I go swimming with them?
- Yes you can, they are water resistant.
- Yes you can, they are water resistant.
Can I go in the sauna with them?
- Yes you can, but please keep in mind that they may not last as long as high temperatures are
not the ideal environment for your lash extensions.
- Can I wear mascara with them?
- Yes, but you will probably find that you wont need to, unless you want a very dramatic look.
- Can I wear contact lenses?
- Yes, no problem at all.
- Yes no problem at all.
What if I have sensitive eyes can I wear them?
- Yes, lash extensions are great for sensitive eyes, especially if you have allergic reactions to
mascara. If you have sensitive eyes you will most likely react to the eye pads used during
the application, or the glue. If you do have a reaction you will most likely have a little bit of
redness in the whites of your eyes, but that should disappear after 48 hours. I recommend
using an allergy eyedrop before you have your lashes applied as that should help with the
sensitivity.
- What if I have blonde eyelashes?
- It is best to get your lashes dyed dark brown/black before you get your lashes applied. It is
much easier to apply the extensions to dark lashes and the overall look is more flawless, as
you don't have blonde running through the extensions.
- What if I have a reaction?
- Use some allergy eyedrops and if it hasnt disappeared after two to three days you will need
to get your lashes removed.
- Are you mobile?
- No. Chloe and Jacqui operate from different Lash Rooms in Paremata and Aotea in Porirua,
and Jacqui also has a Lash Room on Oriental Parade in Wellington.
- When should I get my lashes applied before my wedding day?
- I recommend anything from 3 to 5 days before your wedding date, then they will be picture perfect. I also recommend you have a test run with them prior to your wedding day I guarantee you will
fall in love with them.
